It has been quite an interesting week leading up to this; I have been helping out Integrated Media do a Crestron installation for a new office being set up here in the Atlanta area. As I am still not down with a steady job, fortunately family has been able to help me out and get me set up learning all about Crestron programming. Computer programming and audiophilia together sounds pretty cool.
Yesterday was my birthday, I spent a small part of the morning helping out with the Crestron gig, and they were nice enough to let me leave early to enjoy my birthday. I had an awesome dinner at Rathbun’s with my family before heading over to my planned birthday shindig at The Mark Ultralounge. Scott and I brought back Ponytail and Moustache and Torey and Billy also came out and gave some musical support as well. In addition, a good number of friends came up, had drinks, and hung out with me which definitely made the evening for me. It definitely meant a lot to be there with those of you who were able to make it out. My friends are freaking awesome.
Due to scheduling madness and having a life, and all sorts of other excitement, Ponytail and Moustache work has been on the back-burner so I’ve been spending a lot of time working on a solo set, and trying to play out more by myself. Returning to the P&M style of work last night was a welcome change, and we are doing at least more show together this month. Hopefully the trend will continue, I enjoy playing out way too much.
This weekend will continue more birthday and times with friends with the Jingo Jango Virgo Bango which is a three headed cerberus style birthday event at The Bench with Will, Torey, Billy and myself all playing music. I’ve been looking forward to this weekend for quite a bit; the planning for my party and the Virgo Bango came up at about the same time, so these have both been in the works for a minute and as I said before, spending birthdays with friends is a wonderful way to spend a weekend. Thanks again to everybody who came out last night, you guys are incredible friends.
