Dancing On the Ceiling

Well, after an uneventful but enjoyable weekend, I went over to my parents’ house for a short while this evening and caught The Falcons backing their way into a playoff spot. As my brother stated earlier “Why was I ever a Michael Vick fan?” My sentiments exactly.

I came home from my parents’ place to reheat some leftovers from Harry & Sons lunch the other day, and upon stepping off the elevator noticed a rather unusual smell in the hallway. After walking a few more steps I noticed water sheeting down both sides of the walls and a mild rainstorm occuring throughout the middle of the hall as well. Obviously alarmed I entered my unit to see how bad it was. The kitchen was more or less underwater, and in a more active rainstorm than the rest of the city of Atlanta had over this past weekend. As it stands now, there are about half a dozen people removing sheetrock, insulation, and the ceiling from my kitchen, as well a large portion of wall and ceiling in my living room adjacent to the utility closet where my HVAC and hot water heater are located. As reading about this is pretty boring, and pictures being worth a thousand words would probably look better, here you go… commence LOLs.
